• Welcome & Registration Before entering the hammam area, we will kindly ask you to complete a brief registration process at our reception desk.
• Guided Assistance & Changing Rooms Following registration, a member of our team will assist you to your private, lockable changing room. You may securely leave all your clothing and personal valuables (such as watches and jewelry) inside. For your peace of mind, your locker key will remain securely on your wrist throughout your entire experience.
• What We Provide
  • For Women We provide a bikini, shorts, and a peshtemal (a traditional Turkish cotton towel).
  • For Men We provide hammam shorts.

  Note Guests are more than welcome to wear their own swimwear if they prefer.

• The Experience Begins Once you are changed and ready, our staff will personally guide you to the hot room so your relaxation journey can begin.

Your journey begins in the hot room, one of the most essential parts of the ritual. Here, you will rest on the heated marble platform ( göbek taşı ) for approximately 30 minutes, allowing your body to fully relax and unwind.

Important Note

Süleymaniye Hammam offers a traditional, communal hammam experience designed for couples and families. Please note that this is a shared space with other guests, rather than a private room.

In accordance with our hammam`s concept and operational policy, it is essential for couples to receive their massage and scrub treatments together. To maintain the integrity of the experience, we do not accommodate requests for partners to receive treatments in separate or independent areas.

Scrubbing & Traditional Soap Massage - 30 Minutes

Following your relaxation in the hot room, your hammam therapist ( tellak ) will gently call you by the name of your hotel and guide you to the washing area.

• Traditional Cleansing This stage is performed entirely according to authentic Turkish hammam customs. Resting on the marble platform next to the water basin ( kurna ), your body is gently exfoliated using a specially textured traditional scrub mitt ( kese ), allowing your skin to breathe. The process is then completed with a relaxing massage using a rich foam derived from natural soaps, followed by a thorough rinse.
• Therapists Please be advised that all hammam therapists ( tellak ) at the Süleymaniye Hammam are male.
• The Process Lasting approximately 30 minutes, this rejuvenating ritual ensures a deep cleanse of your skin and the complete relaxation of your muscles.

Important Reminder

This experience is an authentic cleansing ritual that has been practiced in historic Ottoman hammams for centuries. The traditional scrub mitt used is the most natural method for renewing your skin and stimulating blood circulation. All treatments are performed on the heated marble platforms located directly next to the traditional water basins.

Enjoy Refreshments, Change & Preparation - 30 Minutes

Following your hammam ritual, we have allocated a dedicated 30-minute concluding period to ensure you finish this unique experience feeling completely refreshed and relaxed. We kindly appreciate your mindfulness regarding timing, as it allows our subsequent guests to enjoy this historical atmosphere with the same punctuality.

• Cooling Down & Traditional Refreshments (20 Minutes) Immediately after your ritual, you are invited to our cooling area. This step allows your body temperature to naturally normalize while you mentally unwind. Here, you can complete your journey by enjoying complimentary traditional refreshments while soaking in the historical ambiance.
• Personal Preparation & Departure (10 Minutes) Following your refreshments, you will have 10 minutes in your private changing room to get dressed and gather your personal belongings. Promptly vacating the room at the end of this period greatly helps us maintain the smooth, traditional flow of our hammam for the next guests.
